Our Approach

Evidence-based learning that meets you where you are.

Practical. Credible. Timely.

Learning designed to strengthen the impact of public health professionals, practitioners, partners and policy leaders.

Turn research into action.

Deliver on-demand learning opportunities that strengthen practical skills, support informed decisions and make public health work more effective and impactful.

Built on expertise. Designed for people.

KHI's learning experiences combine public health expertise with best practices in adult learning, user experience and accessibility. Evidence based, credible and timely, each course, tool and resource is designed to meet learners where they are and evolve with the public health landscape.
Why It Matters

Evidence informs better decisions. Better decisions improve health.

For practitioners, policy leaders, and community partners, the quality of the work depends on the quality of the knowledge behind it. The distance between research and real-world action — between what's known and what gets done — is where outcomes are won or lost.

Practical skills. Credible sources. Learning that holds up in the field.
About Kansas Health Institute

30 Years Informing Kansas Health Policy

The Kansas Health Institute is an independent, nonprofit health policy research and education organization based in Topeka, Kansas. For more than 30 years, KHI has worked to inform policy and improve health across the state — producing trusted research, providing technical assistance, and equipping communities and decision-makers with the knowledge they need to act. KHI Learning is an extension of that mission, bringing evidence-based education directly to the people doing the work.
